This Festive Bikini – The Method
WHere is an easy take on a cocktail found on our latest cocktail list. This is a large-volume prepared mix that is bursting full of essence associated with festive period, making it ideal for your celebration. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup for morning drinks, puddings, or to make additional servings of bikinis.
The Bikini Cocktail
Serves 10 servings
To make the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Drink (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
To prepare the Cordial: Combine all the ingredients inside a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, mixing so the sugar melts. Next, remove from the heat and leave to cool completely. Pour into an clean bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, it can be stored for about one month.
For the Cocktail Base: Combine every liquids into a sizeable container, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then pass it through preferably using muslin, making it completely strained.
For serving: Measure 85ml of your premix to a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and agitate gently for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with some cranberries and finish using a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
